Dr. Cindy Townsend – Doctor of Chiropractic
Qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, one of the top Chiropractic training facilities in the world, having gained an Honours degree in Neuromusculoskeletal sciences and a Masters degree in Chiropractic Sciences. She has since gone on to complete post-graduate certificates in Clinical Management, Dry Needling (acupuncture), Muscle testing and numerous other soft tissue therapies. Cindy has also gained advanced qualifications and experience in Chiropractic Paediatrics and Chiropractic Pregnancy patient care.
Cindy co-founded the Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic with her partner Dr Peter Townsend in 2007. Having decided that she wanted to become a chiropractor at just 14 years old, Cindy feels she has truly found her calling, and is passionate and enthusiastic about chiropractic for all. She has especially enjoyed helping many top-flight athletes, international artist and musicians, celebrities and other sports professionals and has been looking after the World Wrestling Entertainment team (WWE) for the past 12 years as their official European tour Chiropractor along with Peter.
Dr. Peter Townsend – Doctor of Chiropractic
Qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, one of the top chiropractic training facilities in the world, in 2002, having gained an Honours degree in Human science and a Masters degree in Chiropractic. Peter has since gone on to gain further qualifications in Dry Needling (acupuncture), Advanced rehabilitative techniques, Muscle testing and numerous soft tissue techniques. Outside of his normal practice, Peter also works as a post-graduate trainer for the college of Chiropractors, helping to provide advanced training for recently qualified Chiropractors, Having initially worked in private practice on the South coast for six years, Dr Peter Townsend cofounded Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic with his partner Cindy Townsend.
Coming from a medical family, Peter decided to become a Chiropractor after his father was greatly helped following a severe car accident. Prior to pursuing his chiropractic training, Peter was a British and English National champion sailor, and won both the nations cup, and was the winning helmsman for his class in the yachting Fastnet Race.
Using his knowledge of high-level sports, Peter has provided Chiropractic care to many World Champion and International sports stars including premiership footballers, International and Olympic sports teams, superbike champions and in 2007 joined Cindy in working with the WWE wrestling tour.
Dr. Andy Strause – Doctor of Chiropractic
Andy graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic with a Masters in Chiropractic. While there, he became passionate about functional movement. He enjoys educating about the benefits of chiropractic care.
After a long career in the United States Air Force Special Operations, he decided it was time for a change of pace. After transporting victims of Typhoon Haiyan from remote airfields to Manila to receive assistance, he knew he wanted to help people in his next career. After dealing with chronic neck and back pain in the military, he discovered the benefits of chiropractic care and knew its what he wanted to do.
In his free time, Andy is an avid free diver and is working to bring chiropractic to the world championships.
Dr. Anna Garstin – Doctor of Chiropractic
Anna graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic. She also has a Diploma in Chiropractic Clinical Paediatrics.
Anna was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 21 when she suffered a sudden attack of lower back pain. After several days incapacitated, she managed to get herself to a chiropractor in her home city of Stockholm. Fascinated by the drug-free and holistic approach, and impressed by the effectiveness of the treatment, she decided to train as a chiropractor.
Following her 5-year course, she has worked in Farnham in Surrey, Warwick, Rugby and Hinckley, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth where she developed her skills further. Her extra qualifications in the care of pregnant women and children enable her to help mothers-to-be to have the best experience in pregnancy and their little ones to get the best start in life.
Anna is registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
Dr. Jack Kennedy – Doctor of Chiropractic
Jack Graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a Masters in Chiropractic.
Whilst studying he also gained qualifications in Sports taping, Medical Acupuncture, RockTape and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Management.
Jack discovered the power of Chiropractic care through Dr Pete Townsend. After a car accident prevented him from continuing to play rugby and he was inspired to pursue a career in the profession which helped him get back to playing much faster than expected.
Jack continues to be passionate about helping sports-men and women through injury and to achieve amazing results in their chosen sport. Dr Jack recently accompanied Dr Pete to Saudi to help look after the WWE wrestling superstars.
Dr. Shanelle Greatorex – Doctor of Chiropractic
Shanelle came over from her home in Zambia, Africa to complete her Masters degree at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, where she graduated with a distinction.
Since graduating, Shanelle has fulfilled her dream of becoming an animal Chiropractor by completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic and is part of the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP).
Playing both Hockey and Polo at national level in her home nation meant that she experienced a variety of injuries in which she sought Chiropractic treatment for. This planted the seed of desire to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, in order to help people the way she was helped growing up.
Shanelle has a special interest in the chiropractic treatment of babies and pregnant mums, so she plans to broaden her knowledge in the future in order to specialise into these areas.
Dr. Sam Williamson – Doctor of Chiropractic
Sam graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic after 4 years of full time training, obtaining a Master of Chiropractic degree.
Sam first discovered chiropractic after having treatment himself when he was younger and found it didn’t just help any aches and pains but also helped him in his sporting life. He is a keen golfer, skier and has also been fortunate enough to play in the EuroHockey Club Challenge.
With a keen interest in sport Sam is currently undertaking the International Certification in Sports Chiropractic course ensuring the best possible care for all patients. Knowing the strains golf can put on the body Sam has also completed a Golf Therapy Seminar run by a Chiropractor that worked with the players on the European and PGA tours.
Dr. Matt Sambrook – Doctor of Chiropractic
Matt graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a distinction level Masters. Following the completion of his degree he moved back to his hometown of Swindon to begin his Chiropractic career. Matt Joined KCC in 2020 having been aware of the clinics high profile and exciting work with many sports individuals for a while and wanting to be part of such a high performing team.
Matt has a keen interest in all sport and even achieved national qualification and podium finishes at regional level in swimming. The years he spent training helped Matt to become disciplined and resilient in addition to really understanding how Chiropractic supports the body’s ability to perform at the highest level.
Dr. Steve Marsland – Doctor of Chiropractic
Steve graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in 2006 with distinction, gaining his Masters of Chiropractic. He has since gone on to gain further post-graduate qualifications in dry needling (medical acupuncture), muscle testing, temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and in chiropractic pregnancy and paediatric care. Steve is certified in Functional Medicine, which he incorporates into his everyday practise, to offer an holistic and functional approach for his patients.
Steve was inspired to become a chiropractor when he was 14 years old, after suffering from a bad sporting injury. For several months, he tried many conventional treatment approaches with little improvement, until a family friend recommended that he saw a chiropractor. Within six weeks of starting chiropractic treatment, Steve was back playing sport again!
Steve has worked in clinics in Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford. In 2013, Steve moved to Abu Dhabi to work in a large, busy multi-disciplinary clinic. After eight years of working as a chiropractor in the sunny middle-east, he took the decision to return home to Warwickshire with his young family and become part of the team at Kenilworth Chiropractic.
Jan Bilby – Practice Manager
Jan joined Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic in September 2009, having previously worked for eight years as a coordinator at TNT / CEVA Logistics managing their head office reception.
Jan feels incredibly proud to be part of the Kenilworth Chiropractic Team and enjoys her role immensely. Having had chiropractic treatment over the past 20 years herself, she feels that it is so wonderful to now be part of a team helping so many people not only to be pain-free but to regain a better quality of life. Jan is a dedicated and caring member of the team and a loved and respected manager, always happy to go the extra mile and always with a smile.
Sue Smith – Receptionist
Sue joined the Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic team in 2010, after working as a receptionist/negotiator at a local estate agent for 12 years. Sue has found working at the practice to be an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding opportunity, she loves working with such a fun, friendly and committed group of people and is a valued member of the gang.
